REPLACING RUBBER
MOUNTS FOR CONTROL
ARM

Important!
Always replace rubber mounts on left
and right sides and use rubber mounts
of same make (recognized on mounts).

Remove control arm holder - see 31 12.
Press rubber mount out of holder with
Special Tool 31 2 130.

Installation:
Check installed position!
Arrow on rubber mount faces cast
boss (1) on holder.
Clean holder and rubber mount to
remove grease.
Rubber mount is marked with dots of
"light blue" paint (2).

Press rubber mount into the holder
flush from the bevelled side with
Special Tools 31 2 130.

Checking Rubber Mounts:
Load down car to normal position -
See Gr. 32.
Measure gap (A) with a feeler gage
blade.
Specification: A = 0.7 ... 1.7 mm (0.027
... 0.067"):
Replace rubber mounts, if the measured
value deviates from the specified
value.
