REMOVING AND INSTALLING
OR REPLACING ONE REAR
PULSE SENDER (SPEED
SENSOR FOR ABS)

Turn off ignition.
Remove rear wheel - see 36 10.
Unscrew socket head screw.

Installation:
The distance (A) between a pulse
sender and pulse wheel is given by
design and cannot be adjusted.
However, it is necessary to visually
check the pulse wheel for dirt and
damage.

Lift electric lead out of holders.
Pull out pulse sender.

Installation:
Check pulse sender for damage,
replacing if necessary.
Lubricate pulse sender and housing
with Molykote Longterm 2.

Replacing Pulse Sender:
Disconnect plug for pulse sender.
Pull out rubber grommet and electric
lead.
Take off pulse sender.

Important!
Don´t damage the rubber grommet.

Removing and Installing/Replacing
Rear Pulse Wheel for ABS:
The rear pulse wheel can only be
replaced in conjunction with the rear
output shaft - see removing and
installing output shaft in Group 33.
