REPLACING WIRE HARNESS* FOR ABS Disconnect battery ground lead. Disconnect lead on battery positive terminal and place it back on the left hand side in the engine compartment. Disconnect grount terminal on battery (behind driver´s seat). Disconnect positive lead on battery connection point on engine compartment wall.  * 61 11 000

Unscrew cover on hydraulic control unit. Unscrew screws (7 and 8). Pull off mulitpie-pin plug on hydraulic control unit carfully (plastic pin). Loosen cable straps. |  |
Disconnect both plugs for pulse senders in the engine compartment. Loosen cable straps. See main wire harness in Gr. 61 for other removal steps. 61 11 000

Pull right electric lead into engine compartment on the left-hand side. See main wire harness in Gr. 61 for other removal steps. 61 11 000

Loosen carpets and trim panels as required. Route electric leads on left and right sides forward. | |
Pull off multipie-pin plug on control unit. Installation: Engage plug on the left-hand side first and then press the right-hand side into clip. | |
Unscrew ground lead on body. Pull off plug. |  |
Pull control lamp and holder out of the instrument cluster. |  |
