Remove steering column - see Gr. 32.
Replace accelerator pedal - see 35-41.

Pull off stop light switch plug - see
Group 61.

Installation:
Adjust stop light switch - see Gr. 61.
Check function of stop lights!

Draw brake fluid out of tank to lower
the level enough that brake fluid will
not run out after disconnecting the
clutch hose.

Installation:
Bleed clutch - see 35-00.

Pull off clutch hose on brake fluid
supply tank and plug.

Unscrew hose on clutch master
cylinder and plug.
 
Disconnect accelerator cable (1).

Installation:
Check rubber grommet, replacing if
necessary.

Lift out retainer (4) of brake pedal
push rod and pull out shaft (5).

Installation:
Check adjustment of brake pedal push
rod - see 35-00.
Check for correct seating of the
retainer.

Unscrew nuts.

Installation:
Replace self-locking nuts.
Tightening torque = 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.).
