REMOVING AND INSTALLING
REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY

Important!
Check rear wheel alignment after
installation.

Remove left and right side panels -
see Gr. 41.
Unscrew parking brake cable, ABS
signal sender and brake hose on left
and right sides - see Gr. 34.
Remove final drive.

Lower car until the rear wheels rest on
the floor.
Unscrew shock absorber - working
from inside of the trunk.

Installation:
Tightening torque = 13 Nm

Unscrew and remove bolt (1) with
adjusting sleeve (2) on left and right
sides.

Installation:
Tightening torque = 77 Nm (56 ft. lbs.).

Installation:
Basic adjustment of the rubber mount
makes adjusting toe easier.

A = 59.5 mm (2.342").

Unscrew bolts on left and right sides.
Lift car and back out the rear axle on
the wheels.

Installation:
Tightening torque = 42 Nm
