REMOVING AND INSTALLING
LOCK

Remove door complete with the
baseplate - see 51 33.
The lock must be unlocked, press the
door push button once if necessary.

Disengage the transmitting linkage on
the door push button.

Disengage the linkage from the inside
door opener, from central locking drive
and linkage to the door push button on
the lock.

Pull lock back off of the lock shaft.

Note:
The lock has a hollow-drilled shaft end
for connection on the lock shaft.
There is a spring in this shaft end -
make sure that this spring is not lost.

Installation:
Press lever (4) to move the lock into
middle position prior to installation of
the lock.
Check whether lock shaft moves easily,
servicing if necessary.
The lock shaft must turn back into middle
position on its own.
Use spacers on the staybolts of the
B-pillar between the body and lock.
The thickness of required spacers is
given at the place of installation.
