REPLACING SWITCH ON
STEERING COLUMN

Disconnect battery ground lead.
Remove steering wheel - see 32 33.
Remove left bottom trim panel for
dashboard - see 51 45.
Unscrew screws and take off both
sections of the steering column casing.

Lift out clips.

Disconnect plug (2) for the turn signal
switch.

Push back retaining hook and pull off
turn signal relay with socket downward.

Pull turn signal relay out of socket.

Unscrew screw and pull off plug.

Compress retaining hooks on both
sides and pull out the turn signal
switch.

Disconnect plug (1) for ignition switch.

Push in retaining hooks on both sides
and pull out switch.

Installation:
Check position of ignition switch to
steering wheel lock.

Disconnect plug (3) for wiper switch.

Compress retaining hooks on both
sides and pull out switch.
