Unscrew guide bolts (2). Installation: Only clean guide bolts - do not lubricate them with grease. Inspect threads. Replace guide bolts which are not in perfect condition. Tightening torque = 31 to 35 Nm (23 to 25 ft. lbs.). | |
Press out clamp (3). Pull off floating caliper toward rear. | |
Take off outer brake pad. Inner brake pad is located in piston with a spring. Important! Always replace all brake pads of both calipers on one axle. Coat back of brake pads lightly with Plastilube* on the brake piston contact surface. *Source of Supply: HWB | |
Installation: Push back piston completely. Clean brake pad guides and recesses with a brush*. Important! Extract pad dust - never blow it out. Check dust cover for damage. Lubricate guides lightly with Plastilube*. * Source of Supply: HWB |
