REMOVING AND INSTALLING
FUEL LEVEL SENDER

Draw out some of the gasoline with a
scavenging pump.

Unscrew trim panel partially.
Unscrew screws.
Lift off cover.

Pull off plug (1) on the fuel level
sender.

Unscrew nuts (2 ... 5).
Pull out fuel level sender.

Fuel Level Sender Plug Connections:

1 = Ground (-31)
2 = Sender (+)
3 = Warning lamp (+)

Sensor Resistance at Testing Temperature
of 20 ± 3° C:

Tank empty: 3.2 ± 0.7 ohms
Tank full: 163 ... 172.5 ohms

Intank Pump Plug Connections

Installation:
Check for correct seating of round
cord seal (1).
Remove the transporting lockpin (2)
when replacing a fuel level sender.
