REMOVING AND INSTALLING DOOR LOCK SWITCH (CENTRAL LOCK DRIVE) Remove middle side panel - see Gr. 41. Raise the door and lower the window. Caution! Pull out fuses 25 and 26 in the interest of safety (danger of getting clamped in door or window) - see 51 00 for general information. Note: A removed seat will make it easy to carry out the procedures - see Gr. 52. Unfold opening in the carpet. Unscrew screws and take off cover. 41 35 000 51 00 000 52 10 000 | |
Pull off plug and prevent it from falling down (e.g. with a piece of welding wire). | |
Raise the door. Unscrew screws. | |
Turn central lock drive down by 90° and disconnect on linkage. Note: The drive ist shown here in removed state. | |
Adjusting Central Lock Drive: Connect central lock drive on linkage. Install screws. Turn key in door lock forward against the stop (door lowered). Compress and pull central lock drive forward slightly (away from lock). Tighten screws. Tightening torque: 2 Nm (1.4 ft. lbs.). Connect plug. | |
Important! Check for correct fit of retainers for the plug - a loud "click" will be heard during engagement. Check function Note: The picture shows the drive removed. |
